C2C: Equitable Pathways Recruitment/Enrollment Phase for Site Supervisors

The Connect2Complete program, an AmeriCorps program, is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action enroller of AmeriCorps national service volunteers.  Members of ethnic minorities, disabled veterans, veterans of the Vietnam-era, recently separated veterans, persons of disability and/or persons age 40 and over are encouraged to apply.  The Connect2Complete only enrolls members who are U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or lawful permanent resident aliens of the United States.  All new members must show employment eligibility verification as required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, as well as pass a standard background check.

After you have been accepted as a host site for C2C, it is time to recruit and enroll your C2C Members:

-------------------Campus Compact of Oregon's Candidate Selection Process-------------------

Step 1: Recruitment
  1. Develop and initiate a member recruitment plan with your host site program team: Post the position description on campus and community job boards; table at job fair events; classroom presentations; flyers/pamphlets; campus/community radio announcements; email your network; social media posts; etc.
  2. Design interview questions and share with your Connect2Complete/Equitable Pathways Program Director. You will also be sent our pre-screen interview questions
  3. Identify candidates: Send any candidates you've identified to your C2C/EP Program Director so that they can begin the pre-screening process. Campus Compact staff will conduct a pre-screen phone interview to determine if the candidate is eligible for the AmeriCorps program
  4. Eligible candidates will be sent to the Site Supervisor (host site) for a final (in-person) interview
  5. The Site Supervisor then informs the Program Director which candidate(s) they would like to place
  6. The Program Director does a final reference check and (assuming all goes smoothly) offers the candidate the position
  7. If the candidate accepts, the Program Director will select the candidate in the online AmeriCorps platform and they will be enrolled in the program

Step 2: Complete your C2C Site Supervisor Enrollment Paperwork (DO NOT DOUBLE-SIDE PAPERWORK)

C2C Site Supervisor Enrollment Forms: All AmeriCorps Site Supervisors must complete agree to a federal and state background check, and NSOPW check, and a FBI fingerprint check (please complete the following form to authorize that Campus Compact of Oregon staff complete these checks:
  • National Service Criminal Record Check Authorization Form
  • Order an FBI Fingerprint Check through Fieldprint - you must complete your FBI fingerprint check before you start serving (you will receive instructions for how to complete this upon submitting the above authorization form
Step 3:
  • Please review the AmeriCorps Provisions and the Health Care Options page before completing your enrollment paperwork
  • Once you complete your W4 and I-9 Forms, submit them with the rest of your enrollment paperwork to your Program Director at Campus Compact of Oregon for completion (you will be on the Campus Compact of Oregon payroll, not that of your host site)

Please contact your C2C Program Director with the details about the recruitment process and your member's start date.
