K-12 Mentoring and Student Success

Campus Compact of Oregon partners with Oregon K-12 schools and community-based organizations to design and implement innovative programming that addresses barriers to student success. Currently, Oregon has one of the lowest graduation rates in the nation, a fact that is more pronounced among students from historically marginalized communities. Our work is to support students' social-emotional well-being, advocate for safer and affirming learning environments, and support the development of culturally responsive curriculum and instruction.
Our office is invested in facilitating collaborations between schools and communities, guided by an intersectional philosophy of racial justice that ensures that all students are supported and encouraged in being the best versions of themselves. We align our program model with goals outlined in the Oregon Student Success Plans, which are designed by educators representing racially and culturally marginalized communities. Our student and family testimonials, increasing student attendance, and increasing student engagement reflect the positive performance of our program.
