Virtual Event Saturday, January 23rdFrom Resilience to Black Liberation: Uprooting Systems of Inequity
Save the date for the MLK Virtual Racial Justice Teach-In presented by the Campus Collaborative! It will be held on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 from 10:00am to 3:30pm. This informative and interactive event will center the history and narratives of Portland’s Black community during, and around, Martin Luther King Day, the only national holiday committed to a Black leader. In collaboration with 2- and 4- year college and university campuses as well as several community partners around Portland, this Teach-in will feature a variety of community panels, workshops, community engagement, and facilitated dialogues with Black-led organizations. The work of the Civil Rights Movement is far from over, our goal is to support community-based programming that centers ongoing narratives of Black activism, creativity, and liberation. |
