Joy Mulumba is the manager for the African Family Holistic Health Organization (AFHHO). He is a passionate advocate for mental health, particularly for African men. He has a masters in English and has 7 years of experience in the field of healthcare.

Ray Mayer, Equity Consultant
Renate Ray Mayer (she/they/Queen) is a first-generation immigrant from Cape Town, South Africa, descended from the Indigenous Khoe Khoe tribe. She has studied English, Afrikaans, Mandarin, French and Dutch, and is currently learning American Sign Language. Back in Cape Town, Ray worked as a journalist telling stories about marginalized communities. In China and Vietnam, Ray worked as a teacher. Her most recent work was as a community organizer in Portland, Oregon. Ray is an alumni of Imagine Black’s Leadership Academy and the IRCO ENGAGE program. She has served as a keynote speaker in honor of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. at Lewis & Clark College. Ray has been invited to serve as both a panelist and moderator at the Cascade Festival of African Films. A proud ambassador of Oregon’s Pan African Cultural Foundation, she helps to plan the annual Pan African Festival. Ray volunteers at various local nonprofits, and currently works as a consultant and storyteller.
