Postsecondary Access

Campus Compact of Oregon (CCOR) uses guided pathways methodologies to support first-generation, low-income, and historically marginalized students in navigating the transition from high school to college or technical training certification and beyond. Our model differs from other guided pathways models in providing students with support that responds to their positionalities and lived experiences. CCOR partners with 2- and 4-year colleges and universities and culturally specific organizations to ensure that identity development and racial equity are at the center of student academic and career pathways.

We recruit paid AmeriCorps Members, many of whom are students from communities served by our programs, to coordinate postsecondary support activities. Members do this work for $15-$20 per hour, depending on the service site, and are provided with an education award upon completion of service. Through CCOR, AmeriCorps Members also participate in our community reinvestment-based racial and education justice professional development programming. This curriculum is developed and coordinated by our organization in partnership with community-based organizations and provides AmeriCorps Members with valuable skills and expertise needed to serve as community advocates and social changemakers.
