Opening Panel: A conversation exploring contemporary activism in the Black community
Facilitated by DJ Ambush of the Numberz radio station
Moderated by Rachel Hartley, Campus Compact of Oregon Communications Manager

This 10-member panel of Portland activists, professionals, and advocates will engage in an in-depth, intergenerational conversation concerning activism today. Through conversation we will honor the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in order for Portland to move forward as a Beloved community.

Panelists include: Fyndi Jermany, Don't Shoot PDX; Special Lovincey, local organizer who has worked with Black and Indigenous communities; Shawn Forde, AmeriCorps member with Campus Compact of Oregon & Portland Community College; Quinn Foster, Urban League; Ed Washington, Portland State University; Ash Marie, Brown Girl Rise; Teressa Raifford, Don't Shoot PDX; Alexander Senai Riedlinger, African House/IRCO; Halima Hassan, African House/IRCO; Mohamud Noor Ali, African House/IRCO.
