Fireweed Collective Support Groups

What: Fireweed Collective Support Groups are unstructured spaces where folks can connect to, and offer mutual aid with others who share similar life experiences and struggles. All support groups are facilitated by members of Fireweed Collective.
Groups run for a month. They meet once a week for one hour. Price includes access to all weekly meetings.
Cost: $30/month

Communities of Practice

Campus Compact CoPs are designed to allow community engagement professionals to engage in collective learning about key competencies related to their work. Through discussions, joint activities, and relationship building, participants will develop a shared repertoire of resources, skills, and knowledge to use in their practice.

Fusion Course: ​Enhancing Online Education Through Community-Based Learning

What: Campus Compact New England's faculty development course aims to provide critical training and support for faculty as they continue to adapt to online teaching and offers instruction for how to integrate community engagement methodologies into existing curricula to improve the quality of course delivery and foster student engagement. Course is 6 weeks and starts 10/27, 12/1, or 1/4.
Cost: $250 for participants from Campus Compact member institutions


All Together Now: Participatory Techniques for Community Engaged Teaching and Learning
What: ​This is a card deck of educational techniques that can be used by practitioners of community-engaged learning (CEL) to advance student learning and reflection in CEL courses. This card deck will provide users with educational strategies for high impact CEL. The deck is designed as a portable tool for convenient use by facilitators in both classroom and community settings.

Service Learning and Community-Based Learning Graduate Certificate

With: Portland State University
What: A graduate certificate in Service Learning and Community Based Learning will help you gain high impact strategies for how to teach, coordinate, lead, research, and assess service-learning for educational improvement and community enhancement. Students, faculty, administrators, and community partners from around the world connect with PSU each year to learn programmatic, teaching, learning, and engaged scholarship techniques of service-learning.
