Beginning in the summer of 2009, Oregon Campus Compact and the Portland Schools Foundation joined together to address the high school completion rate in Multnomah County, Oregon by connecting Summer AmeriCorps VISTA Members with Ninth Grade Counts programs and projects. The Summer of 2011 the program will continue to make 9th Grade Count!
Students in Service
Duration: 300 hours in a year

The Students in Service Program gives college students a structured opportunity to serve their communities while earning money for school. Students serve in partnership with schools and community organizations in the areas of education, human needs/services, the environment, public safety, and homeland security.
The Retention Project
Duration: 1700 hours (11 months)

The Oregon Campus Compact AmeriCorps Retention Project (a partnership with Washington Campus Compact) places full-time AmeriCorps members on campuses to establish or expand college access and success focused mentoring programs.
Full-time VISTA Program
Duration: 365 days

The Oregon Campus Compact VISTA Program places full-time national service members on campuses to establish and strengthen service-learning programs, create new opportunities for civic engagement, and establish strong partnerships between campuses and communities.
